The Transformation Study Bible - Black Milano
Publisher: David C. Cook
The book comes in a box.
Very nice ...
and durable ....
cardboard ...
box.
Inside the box there is our book ...
wrapped in plastic
Covers of the Bible ...
are made from some kind of artificial rubbery material ...
in milano black. Some kind of stealth black or mate black color that feels sticky under your finger tips.
Cover material easily attracts finger stains. It is not imitation leather, as some sellers say, because it does not imitate leather in any way .
Type of binding is easy to notice. The book is NOT sewn.
It is glued.
And because it is glued it is not easy to open the first page.
Or second page.
Or third.
Even after few hundred pages book still dos not lay open.
It floats open until 1/4 of the book.
Nobody expects the new book to lay flat open especially book with glued binding.
But IMO this binding is not going to survive many openings.
Let us go inside the book. Book is black and white including study notes and comments.
Paper is quite transparent but I have seen much worse in some other Bibles.
So the book is readable. Layout and fonts are fine ...
until we reach New Testament and Jesus starts talking i.e. whispering ....
since red letters are so faintly printed.
So, these are my first impressions. I will update my review later.
For now, I think that hardcover version would be better choice if you want to buy this Bible.
